Technology in gender selection:good or bad.

     With the advent of technology almost every sector of human life is being highly benefited.It has tremendous effects on human body and gender selection.previously we could not even think about selecting the gender prior to the birth of a baby.We could not know even whether the coming baby is going to be a baby boy or a baby girl.Technology has made all these possible for us.But it has both advantages and disadvantages.With the help of technology the infertile parents now hope to get children and determine the sex of their baby.people can easily avoid genetic diseases by "designer babies".But still there is a primitive desire to have a son as the first child.Parents want security both for the baby and for them when they grow old.Still in many countries like China and India,parents give priority to the baby boys.So the ratio of boy to girl is being imbalanced.In china there is a one child policy and parents want that one child to be boy instead of a girl with the help of technology.When they see that the coming fetus is a baby girl,they cruelly kill that healthy fetus just to avoid the baby girl.This is tremendously unethical.So we should avoid this malpractice of selecting the gender only for the fact that the coming baby is unexpected.We must love babies irrespective of sexes and select a gender only to avoid genetic diseases and other medical problems.
